Lets talk Jeans

Read my tips on finding the right Jeans for you.

As we head into the Autumn months, ladies quite often start thinking about jeans. But jeans are often one of the most frustrating items to purchase. Jeans can either lead to tears in the changing rooms or feeling like high five-ing someone when you get that perfect pair.

So lets break down four different styles of jeans.

Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans have become less favorable of late due to more flattering options coming out and often more comfortable options. But skinny jeans still have a place for some women in their wardrobe.
They look fantastic paired with a blazer and heels. Or if you want to wear a nice white trainer then skinny jeans are often your go to.
And if you can get a pair with a bit of stretch then they can be comfortable too.
However for a lot of women, curvy or pear shaped, they really are not the most flattering option available.

Loose Fit Jeans

Loose fit Jeans are by far more comfortable and also more flattering to curvy body shapes.
But making sure you get that fit right is crucial, otherwise they can look a bit un-stylish.
to get the fit right, make sure they fit well around the bottom and the waist. They are meant to be loose fit round the thighs but not round the bum and waist.
Loose fit can look good with heels but mostly they suit a good chunky sandal or a trainer.
If you do want to try them with heels, they go best with a heeled sandal or a little ankle boot with a cuff on the jeans.
When styling loose fit jeans, its best to stick with a fitted or cropped top or something cinched in at the waist to avoid looking too chunky.

Wide Leg Jeans

These jeans have a flattering silhouette that cuts slim over the hip and opens up to a wider leg. They are the in thing to the 2020’s like flares were to the 1970’s.
Wide leg jeans are great for tall girls. If you are vertically challenged be aware that they can swamp your frame.
Like loose fit jeans they are best worn with a fitted, cropped or cinched in top to avoid getting lost in too much volume.
There is lots of variation on this style, to very wide jeans or cropped versions. If your not sure try them out with a bit of stretch in them and go for a tailored version of the jean.

Straight Jeans

This style of jean is your most versatile and they come in many different options.
They are perfect for all body shapes being universally flattering and they skim over the hips. They are perfect for tall girls, short girls and everyone in between.
They can be worn with anything from trainers, boots and heels.
They have the benefit of providing a comfortable fit without being too baggy or not stylish.

Straight jeans are by far my favorite style.

So there you have four different styles of jeans and hopefully one for everyone.
Comment below with what your favorite style of jeans is.
